Alarm at 4:45. Up at 5:15. Why is Sunday the hardest day to get out of bed? Don't answer that, I already know. Today Michael is leaving early with me. He's going to run Easy Worship this morning for the first time on his own. Michael has been trained to run the program and has also started helping others understand the program. So today he believes he is ready to go solo. I pray that he is. Since incorporating Easy Worship into our Sunday services, a lot of the Sunday AM powerpoint panic has been alleviated. I've been able to coach volunteers through the program literally from the stage. The program is that easy. The most difficult part about going solo is that you hold all the power to make or break the flow of worship. Since we run the same slides for both audience and confidence monitors, the EW volunteer needs to change to the next slide slightly ahead of the last phrase. Takes a lot of confidence and a good sense of timing. You can't ever tune out the singing or the message. That could prove to be disastrous. I'm really proud of Mike for wanting to serve in this way. It is a huge accomplishment for him. God is preparing him for a wonderful life. This is another big step along the path. Love you Mikey!
