Dan and I are in this small group called Urban Tribe. It rocks. No really, it does. We're a group of worshippers, worship leaders, musicians, and friends. We've been together for quite some time now. There is a certain amount of comfort in our Wednesday night routine. We pull up to Jeff & Pam's house (usually late), scan the street for who's car is there, walk up to the door, knock on the door then walk in. We are greeted enthusiastically by the dogs, then warmly by the Tribe. We head straight to the snacks & coffee. Our conversations are usually pretty fast-paced and fun. If you close your eyes and let the voices and sounds swirl around you, it's like a big family, teasing, loving, urging, encouraging, loving, comforting, outrageous, and real. The Tribe is unlike any group I've ever been a part of. We've worked hard to develop and maintain a sense of identity and purpose. I'm really thankful for this community of believers, this family that we can spend holidays with and do life deeply together with.
