Today's theme at Fellowship North was the sorbet between main courses - just wrapped up "Leaving A Legacy" last week and begin "Hungry" next week. Pastor Randy and the Africa team gave testimonies from recent trips to Burundi & Rwanda. I shared about Adele.
Randy used a Dr. Seuss book, "On Beyond Zebra" as theme for the day. In it, the narrator of the story explains the alphabet to his young friend Conrad Cornelius o’Donald o’Dell,
“most people stop” with the Z . . . . BUT NOT ME! In the places I go there are things that I see That I never could spell if I stopped with the Z. I’m telling you this ‘cause you’re one of my friends, My alphabet starts where your alphabet ends!"
We were challenged to live our lives beyond the ordinary. To see what new adventures and experiences might be beyond what we already know and can see. To have faith in the unseen, trusting fully in the God who knows the plans He has for us (Jer. 29:11).
We planned for four songs, but only had time for three. We'll make up for it this coming week!
