There's this favorite conference that I attend every February called Recreate. It's a creative thinktank for creative people, including musicians, artists, writers, etc. It's an intentionally intimate vibe - strict attendance caps - so you can really get to know people at the conference. A few years ago I met Rich Kirkpatrick, a worship leader at Sunridge Community Church in Temecula, California which is 30 minutes from where I grew up.
