Pastor Pierre from Burundi emailed some pics that correspond with the following letter - he sent the pics in a Word document and I don't have a way to import them as pics - so, click HERE to see the pics and read his letter below. Please keep Pierre, his family, and the new believers in this brand new church in your prayers. I especially love his words "...the walls of a church are not built in a day. That needs patience and prayer."
Thank you very much Marina for your encouragement. I apologize of responding and sending the pictures late. It's fun but real, I missed a photographer for days to make the picture of the church. We are praying to get our digital camera, in order to follow different steps of growing of our new churches. For me, pictures are of great importance in planting churches because they serve as evidence that the walls of a church are not built in a day. That needs patience and prayer. Enjoy the updated picture of the church. The crowd you see came to join us in an organized night prayer and we began by Jesus Movie as you see, they are following: some are in the church and many others are outside of the church. It was a blessed night. Our Living God performed miracles. As you see, we are continuing to build and thank you again for your support. May Our True God bless you. We've got other ten sheet metal and a small part of the church is covered and you see arround we are puting small trees. I and my wife Yvonne are preparing some of our members to be baptized on Easter Sunday. You see also our picture with our three children with the other three children of our neighbor. It was the 1st of this year 2010, we went to the beach to share Jesus with the Evange Cube. And an idea came in me: to buy a big tent and to go with it and there we make a removable church and we use instruments to sing and to dance for Our Almighty God. We have to join the people where they are, that is called"Mission". We are praying also for that. Thank you so much for your great surprise for my Church. Praise the Lord! As you promised you can tell me before you come. My greetings again to all of you. Welcome again in your Country Burundi, we are praying for you. Together on Mission Pierre Normand |
