Burundi...Unforgettable

January 2008 was the first trip by e3 partners ministry into Burundi, Africa. Very exciting. Absolutely unforgettable. An impoverished nation, deeply scarred by civil war, poverty, and hardship. But the people we met had a quiet dignity about them. The country itself is beautiful, tropical, situated on Lake Tanganyika. Many people speak French in addition to Kirundi. Interestingly enough, Phoenix, AZ is home to a large population of Burundi refugees. We've been trying to connect with Burundians on both sides of the Atlantic!!
