Mary Berryman sent me a recipe called "Chocolate Decadence" - she highly recommends it so you know it's gotta be divine! I decided to whip this up for the boys tonight. It was super easy.
I baked it in my brand new 9" x 2" professional baking pan which I purchased at Sur La Table at a remarkably good price.
Here it is, cooled, and inverted onto a glass plate.
I couldn't resist sprinkling it with powdered sugar - doesn't it look pretty?
We were fresh out of vanilla ice cream, so I was forced to substitute giant clouds of whipped cream instead. Dan and Mike each had 2 pieces. Steve, my non-dessert-eating child, took one bite and said he didn't hate it - I'll translate his jr hi dialect for you - that means it was really good! Tomorrow, Joshua and Alyssa will try it - hopefully we'll have some Breyer's vanilla ice cream in the freezer by then. Click this picture for the Chocolate Decadence recipe!
