Working At Home

Last week Alyssa and Joshua started school. They ordered a brand new laptop for Alyssa. However, it will not be delivered until September. So, I lent my laptop to Alyssa until then. Since Dan and I both share an office in our home, time on the computer is now at a premium. So, in order to have alone time for blogging and emailing and creating, every day at 2pm I serve cookies on a little glass plate with a doily and a tall glass of milk (rice of course) to Dan. Then I solicitously tuck him in for his afternoon nap. And of course, in order to ward off any potential intruders, I carefully place a Ruger 1022 within easy reach. You really can't be too careful in the 'hood.

OK, OK, this picture was actually taken on a Saturday afternoon. And I do believe that Dan was dreaming of milk and cookies, but unfortunately for him, it was only a dream. As for the Ruger, you  really can't be too careful in the 'hood.
